Adrian Lee returns at ONE 168: Denver.

Despite picking up a second-round finish in his professional MMA debut, Adrian Lee admits he wasn't all too pleased with the result. The Hawaii-based fighter, however, is dead set on getting one when he faces Nico Cornejo at ONE 168: Denver inside Ball Arena on September 6.

Speaking to Cageside Press before he throws down with the local favorite in a lightweight MMA tie, Adrian Lee said:

"Yeah, [I was a bit disappointed] because going into every fight, I always plan for a first-round finish. But this upcoming fight, I'll definitely get it."

Plus, with the chance to work under the tutelage of two-division MMA world champion Christian Lee, who owns the record for the most finishes in the promotion, the signs are there for the youngster to amass more finishes on his way to glory.

In the same exchange with Cageside Press, he added:

"I don't think there was any point where I lost my emotions or control. I think composure is a pretty big thing I plan to keep in my arsenal for this fight and the rest of my fights."
