Former ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion Danielle Kelly was given a birthday surprise by her team as she prepared for her photoshoot ahead of her scheduled fight this week at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov. It was something she appreciated and got a kick out of.
ONE Championship shared a video on Instagram of the surprise, which had her coach bringing out a birthday cake and the promotion's staff singing for her.

Kelly, born on Dec. 4, 1995, took to the comments section to express her gratitude for the gesture, writing:

But she was quick to say that she would not make a total go at the cake just yet as she still has a job to do. She replied to a comment from a fan who asked her if she had to make weight and said:
"Yes my coach is gonna have the cake instead, I'll [have] half a piece after weigh-ins"
At ONE Fight Night 26, which will take place on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, Danielle Kelly is out to reclaim the atomweight submission grappling belt she lost to Brazilian Mayssa Bastos by decision in their title clash back in August.
ONE Fight Night 26 will be aired live and for free at U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

In her push to return as world champion at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6, Danielle Kelly is leaving no stone unturned in her preparation for what she expects to be another tough showdown with reigning ONE atomweight submission grappling champion Mayssa Bastos.
She shared this in an Instagram post three weeks ago, where she posted a video clip from training. In the caption, she wrote:
"Trying to roll through every session like 🦥🦥🦥 it's not going to be easy nor this match but doing everything to be prepared."
In her first title showdown against Bastos, Danielle Kelly tried hard to successfully defend her world title but fell short, losing by decision.
