"I feel like I’ll need just a few months then I’ll be okay. I feel I can force myself to fight, but I don’t really wanna risk it."

As for missing out on yet another chance to win the ONE women's atomweight MMA world title, Zamboanga isn't stressed about it. She knows injuries are part of the game, and she will just work extra hard to prove she deserves to be in the conversation.

Zamboanga added:

"Of course, those kinds of opportunities, I just want it to happen. But I feel there are reasons why it happened. If it’s not my opponent who got injured, then it’s me who has some problems, health-wise. But I’m still thankful because this isn’t that bad of an injury where I have to heal for over a year or half a year."

Denice Zamboanga doesn't feel pressure associated with winning world title: "I go with the flow"

There are high expectations for a fighter as talented as 'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga. But the 27-year-old Quezon City, Philippines resident says she tries her best to block out all that noise.

'The Menace' told The MMA Superfan:

"To be honest, I no longer put too much pressure on myself to achieve my dreams. I go with the flow and do what I need to do in training. I stay consistent. And of course, keep faith in God. I rely on him for guidance and wisdom throughout my career. [My fiance] Fritz really motivates me and inspires me to do my best in my career. He gives me his 100 percent support."
