Newly crowned ONE interim women's atomweight MMA world champion Denice Zamboanga is looking forward to taking a break after a tough training camp through the holidays.
But when she inevitably returns to action later this year, the 28-year-old Quezon City resident wants nothing but to face her close friend and former training partner, reigning atomweight queen Stamp Fairtex.
She told the media after her latest win at ONE Fight Night 27 last weekend:

"Definitely Stamp. I'll wait for her."
Zamboanga then proceeded to thank her supporters for a historic world title win over Alyona Rassohyna. 'The Menace' said:
"Yeah, I want to thank all my fans for supporting me through my career, it really means [a lot] to me to have your support, guys. And also to my family who are with me right now, who flew here to Bangkok to watch and support me."

'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga has set up a highly anticipated ONE women's atomweight MMA world title unification bout against close friend and former training partner Stamp Fairtex, which is expected to come later this year.
The Filipina star says the whole world will be waiting for them to throw down. She told Bangkok Post:
"So, I think even if I meet her, as one of my best friends, I think everyone will be looking forward to our meeting."
