Despite fighting professionally for almost two decades, Aung La N Sang still enjoys the thrill of competing in mixed martial arts. The 39-year-old battle-tested veteran embraces the feeling of going to war, from the preparation, the fight itself, and of course, the aftermath of victory or defeat.

For Aung La, being a modern-day gladiator gives him a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment that he couldn't get anywhere else. 'The Burmese Python' recently shared how passionate he is about cracking skulls in Episode 2 of his Road to Denver series on Youtube.

"I'm most excited about being in a war, you know. Like being in a fight. I love that feeling," he shared.

"There's nothing more than I love that I love than that feeling when you're in a fight, and it's just when you see someone getting knocked out. That war feeling is what I love."

The old adage 'when you love what you do, you don't have to work a day in your life', certainly applies to Aung La N Sang.

The Kill Cliff FC standout will soon raise his sword and shield anew in the promotion's return to the United States at ONE 168: Denver.

Aung La will take on undefeated Turkish star Shamil Erdogan in a three-round middleweight MMA clash.

Streaking Aung La N Sang wants a shot at triple champ Anatoly Malykhin

Aung La N Sang is still out for gold at this stage of his career. While the former two-division world champion is now solely focusing on middleweight, he wants a shot at the division's overlord Anatoly Malykhin.

'The Burmese Python', who's on a three-fight winning streak, hopes a win over Erdogan grants him a date with the Russian conqueror. Aung La said:

"Currently, the middleweight division is kinda weird. Anatoly, who's the champion, the light heavyweight, and the heavyweight champ too, but at the top, I'm one of them. And I need to put on a great performance to get a title shot next."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available via Ticketmaster.
