ONE newcomer Lea Bivins is living her dream as she gears up for her fight under the bright lights of ONE Championship on October 21.
Having already had time to digest what being a part of the roster entails for her, ‘First Moon’ is hoping to build her skill set to one day be on a level playing field with Stamp Fairtex.
Last month, Lea Bivins enjoyed watching Stamp at work against Jihin Radzuan at ONE on Prime Video 2. When Bivins was asked by the South China Morning Post's (SCMP) Tom Taylor what she thought about their showdown and how she rated their fight, ‘Full Moon’ replied:
“I’m a big fan of Stamp. She won that as well. She had an amazing striking [display]. I think her opponent was a little bit on the lesser side of striking so she was playing catch up the whole fight- is what I thought, but that was a good fight.”

Lea Bivins is a bit of a mystery to MMA fans since there’s not much footage as to what she can do inside the ring. The only information out there is what’s written on paper, her Instagram page, or by word of mouth.
The Lee family swears by her talents as she’s competed in Pankration tournaments alongside Victoria 'The Prodigy' Lee and has trained at their family gym at Evolve MMA.
Looking to make an impact Stamp Fairtex-style against Noelle ‘Lil’ Monkey’ Grandjean at ONE on Prime Video 3, Bivins hopes to keep the momentum going until she gets her first high-level fight with a top-ranked competitor:
“I look up to Stamp a lot. There’s a few other girls I look up to. Obviously, I would love to get that high level fight. If it was ever offered to me, I would accept it. But I just love how she climbed the rankins as quickly as possible. I think it was within like a year of her doing MMA and she’s already ranked I think number two right now. Definitely, I would love to fight her.”
Lea Bivins isn’t worried about fighting someone with more experience
In general, Lea Bivins isn’t too worried about fighting someone with more MMA experience. Bivins was originally scheduled to make her MMA debut back in July at ONE 159. However, her opponent, Zeba Bano, pulled out due to weight and hydration issues.
Now that Bivins is booked to face Noelle Grandjean, who has three fights under her belt that include two stoppages and one decision, the question of experience might come into play.
‘First Moon,’ however, believes she’s far more ready than what people expect.
Bivins previously told Givemesport:
“Honestly it doesn’t concern me too much. I have a really good camp, coaches and teammates. I like to use my nerves for excitement and everything towards the fight… with my wrestling background, it’s just another day and another competition for me.”
