Kwon Won Il is pulling for former foe Kevin Belingon to climb back into the win column at ONE 171.

It's been more than six years since Belingon — a former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion — has seen his hand raised on martial arts' biggest global stage.

'The Silencer' will look to end that drought this Thursday, Feb. 20 when he heads to Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar for a showdown with another former ONE world titleholder, Bibiano Fernandes.

Kwon, who scored a second-round knockout victory over Belingon at ONE: Winter Warriors II in December 2021, recently put his support behind the Filipino fan favorite, telling Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

"I still want Belingon to win because he shared the circle with me. I love the Philippines and my former opponent Kevin Belingon. So I hope he wins."

It will be Belingon's fifth time competing against Bibiano Fernandes under the ONE Championship banner. Overall, 'The Silencer' is 1-3 against 'The Flash' with his lone win coming at ONE: Heart of the Lion in November 2018 — the last time Belingon won a fight.

Kwon Won Il seeking redemption in long-awaited rematch against Fabricio Andrade at ONE 170

While fight fans still have a few more week to see a history-making fifth showdown between Belingon and Fernandes, fans won't have to wait nearly as long to see Kwon Won Il return to action.

Emanating from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand this Friday, Jan. 24, 'Pretty Boy' will look to exact some revenge and score 26 pounds of ONE Championship gold when he challenges reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world titleholder Fabricio Andrade at ONE 170.

It will be the second-ever meeting between the two, the first coming at ONE 158 in June 2022. That night, Andrade landed a vicious body-kick KO just 62 seconds into their scrap.

Since then, Kwon has scored three straight finishes against Mark Abelardo, Artem Belakh, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg. Will 'Pretty Boy' make it four in a row and leave with the ONE bantamweight MMA world title, or will Andrade go two-up on the South Korean standout?

ONE Championship fans can catch ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II live on Friday, January 24 at watch.onefc.com.
