Christian Lee believes he was "on track" to defeating Alibeg Rasulov.
Last Friday's ONE Fight Night 26 ended with a lightweight MMA world title matchup between two-division king Lee and top contender Rasulov. The battle started with Lee showcasing his well-rounded skillset in round one before Rasulov began building momentum in the second round.
Unfortunately, Lee vs. Rasulov didn't see the third round. Near the end of round two, 'The Warrior' accidentally landed an eye poke, which Rasulov couldn't recover from. Therefore, the ONE Fight Night 26 main event was scored a no-contest.
The anti-climactic ending led to Lee retaining his ONE lightweight MMA world title and joining Mitch Chilson for a post-fight interview in the ring. Lee had this to say about wishing the fight would've continued:

"I do, however, believe that I was on track to winning the fight and I would have loved to continue it."
ONE Fight Night 26 might not have ended as expected, but the night featured several entertaining moments.
Mayssa Bastos defended her women's atomweight submission grappling world title against Danielle Kelly, Kongthoranee Sor Sommai defeated Nakrob Fairtex in an action-packed banger, and Reece McLaren took out Jarred Brooks in the latter's flyweight debut.
The Dec. 6 event headlined by Christian Lee vs. Alibeg Rasulov can be re-watched by North American fans with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Christian Lee eyes immediate rematch against Alibeg Rasulov
Christian Lee's focus will move to his family, as he's expected to have a third child with his wife soon. Once his priorities are handled, the two-division MMA world champion will likely return in the first half of 2025 to defend his lightweight strap against Alibeg Rasulov.
During the previously mentioned in-ring interview, Lee had this to say about wanting to face Rasulov in an immediate rematch:
"So I'm sure we'll have a rematch set soon. I’d like to get back in there once he’s healed up."
The rematch between Christian Lee and Alibeg Rasulov will put the latter's undefeated professional MMA record on the line again. Rasulov has won fourteen consecutive, while Lee holds a 17-4 record, including back-to-back knockouts against Ok Rae Yoon and Kiamrian Abassov in his last two appearances.
