Rodtang has recently rediscovered his love for football

Whilst Rodtang Jitmuangnon may be known for his ferocity inside the cage, he claims that he is just as devastating on the pitch. The ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion has recently re-discovered his passion for football and is taking no prisoners.

Though he has gone on to become a phenom in Muay Thai, the art of eight limbs wasn’t Rodtang’s first love. While he grew up playing football, he was forced to give it up to concentrate on Muay Thai as it helped him support his family.

Despite only recently starting to play again, ‘The Iron Man’ doesn’t believe that he has lost a step. In an interview with ONE Championship, he laid down the gauntlet, claiming to be the best footballer who is also a martial artist.

He said:

“It’s going to be me. You know, I can score goals every time I go onto the field. Saenchai, Buakaw, and Superbon also play with me quite often. But I’m better than them in striking and scoring.”

At ONE on Prime Video 4, the Muay Thai phenom returns to the circle to try and continue his incredible streak in ONE Championship.

With a run of 11 consecutive wins when competing under the Muay Thai ruleset in ONE, the flyweight champ will look to defend his title for the second time this year against the champion of the weight below.

Strawweight champion Joseph Lasiri will be the next man to try and break his streak on November 18. The event is live and free for North American fans with a Prime Video subscription.
