While discussing Khabib Nurmagomedov's plane incident, a former UFC fighter recently recounted his experience with low-cost flights. The individual questioned why Nurmagomedov had to go on such an airline, alluding to his past encounters with racial profiling.
For context, Nurmagomedov was spotted arguing with a Frontier Airlines flight attendant in a viral clip. The dispute started when the former UFC champion, sitting in the exit row, was asked to switch seats because of his English proficiency.
When the UFC Hall of Famer refused, the attendant had to get a supervisor to accompany him out of the airplane. Nurmagomedov, however, made the decision to leave the aircraft himself without causing a scene.
Following this, Nurmagomedov resorted to social media to voice his disapproval of the airline employee's impolite behavior and to inquire as to whether it was due to national or ethnic bias. Netizens were angered by this, criticizing the airline for its subpar management and demanding strict punishment for those at fault.

Former UFC fighter Kevin Lee also shared his opinion on the matter in a recent interview with The Schmo. Lee discussed his experience with racism while flying on Spirit Airlines, a budget airline similar to Frontier. He said:
''That's nuts. That man [Khabib] got millions, he shouldn't be flying Frontier. I'll leave it at that. That's like spirit, I probably been kicked off one or two Spirit flights...I'm black on a Spirit. I'm black, what do you mean?''
Lee added by praising Nurmagomedov on how well he handled the entire situation.
''I never cause a scene, he didn't cause a scene either. I respected the way that he went about that. Sometimes people want to draw a reaction out of you and he was calm and composed the whole time, walked off like a man so I respect him for that.''

Chael Sonnen reacts differently to Khabib Nurmagomedov's plane incident
Khabib Nurmagomedov was recently ejected from an aircraft after an argument with a flight attendant which caused outrage among the fans on social media.
Chael Sonnen, meanwhile, claimed in his YouTube video that people who supported Nurmagomedov were wrong because passengers are supposed to adhere to the airline's emergency exit policies.
''This is a tough one, guys. I'm talking about Khabib vs. the airline... It's the rule to the point that the flight attendant will make sure—well, it won't matter if they saw you nodding and saying yes... They will wait until they have locked eyes with you, and you must say one or two words. You have one word, which is 'yes.' Any other word that you use, whatever it might be, you're out."
