Nico Carrillo may be from the frigid north, but he's ready to bring the fire when he faces Saemapetch Fairtex in Bangkok.

The pair of knockout merchants are set to deal insurmountable damage when they square off in a pivotal bantamweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 5 at the hallowed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

Carrillo, who's aptly called 'King of the North', is looking for his fourth straight win in ONE Championship and promised to go full blast once he steps between the ropes against Saemapetch.

In an Instagram post, Nico Carrillo wrote:

"Touch of 💀... July 5th @onechampionship I'm bringing the heat."

Carrillo shared a highlight of his devastating knockout of Thai star Muangthai PK Saenchai when they met at ONE Friday Fights 22 in June 2023.

Although Muangthai is called 'Elbow Zombie', Carrillo was the one who utilized that very weapon to send the PK Saenchai fighter to the shadow realm in their Lumpinee meeting.

The Scottish standout now sets his sights on Saemapetch and potentially secure a shot against Jonathan Haggerty, the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion.

ONE Fight Night 23, just like all of ONE Championship's Amazon cards, is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Nico Carrillo hellbent on dethroning Jonathan Haggerty

Although he has impending business this July, Nico Carrillo is looking beyond that point and setting his sights on a potential showdown against Jonathan Haggerty.

The number one bantamweight Muay Thai contender has been chomping at Haggerty's heels, and he believes a win over Saemapetch locks that bantamweight Muay Thai world title shot against the British superstar.

In an interview with Sky Sports MMA Club, Carrillo said:

"There's nothing other than that Haggerty fight. I want to take that belt off him, there's nothing more I'd love to do more than that."

Carrillo has been unstoppable since he arrived under the ONE Championship banner in 2023.

The 25-year-old is a perfect 3-0 in the promotion with all three wins coming via knockout.

Carrillo tore through Furkan Karabag, Muangthai, and most recently Thai legend and former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama.
