United Kingdom Muay Thai star Jacob Smith is only a few hours away from fighting for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship against Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. 'Reug Reug' on Friday, Nov. 8, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Speaking with the Bangkok Post, Smith declared how he hopes to silence his critics by winning his first world title in ONE Championship:

"These people on social media, no matter what happens, there's always gonna be a 'but, but, but', so when I beat him, it'll be 'but Rodtang wasn't at his best' or there's a 'but'... F*** you. I'm coming to win the belt and that's it."

Rodtang will enter ONE 169 as the former ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion after being stripped of the gold on the scales for weighing half a pound over the 135-pound limit.

Meanwhile, Smith is still qualified to win the flyweight Muay Thai crown after passing the weigh-in and hydration test with flying colors.

The Muay Thai standouts will now have their fight at a catchweight of 135.5 pounds.

Jacob Smith satisfied with his output in training camp

Jacob Smith believes he has done everything ahead of this fight to avenge his May 2022 defeat to Rodtang and claim his first ONE world title, which is why he has been focusing on his recovery leading up to ONE 169.

Smith said in an interview with the Bangkok Post:

"You know what, mate, I'm not [doing much training]. I've just been training in the training room. All the hard work's done. So we're just about recovering, making sure I'm 100 percent and ready to claim the title and put on a show."
