“I'm confident in my abilities” - Alyona Rassohyna eager to shut her critics by claiming interim crown vs Denice Zamboanga

Alyona Rassohyna is more than confident in her ability to leave ONE Fight Night 27 with 26 pounds of gold strapped around her waist — no matter what the naysayers think.

It's been more than three years since Rassohyna has competed inside the Circle. That changes this Friday night, January 10, when she meets Denice Zamboanga at ONE Fight Night 27 on Prime Video for the opportunity to become the new interim ONE atomweight MMA world champion.

It's a position that some fight fans have accused Rassohyna of being undeserving. After all, she's only competed twice in ONE Championship and both of those fights came all the way back in 2021. But if the Ukrainian wasn't confident that she was both ready and deserving of her position, she wouldn't be here.

"If I had even a little bit of doubt in my abilities or I wasn't ready, let's say, after giving birth, I would have given this opportunity to other girls," Rassohyna said during a ONE Fight Night 27 pre-fight interview. "But because I'm confident in my abilities, I'm going to work my hardest."
