Francis Ngannou squared off against Anthony Joshua on March 8, 2024, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Joshua won the bout via second-round KO.
'The Predator' recently disclosed something strange and suspicious about fight night and fight week. The 38-year-old believes he can do better in the ring and will only accept a rematch with 'AJ' provided the circumstances are favorable.
When interviewed by Radio Rahim of Seconds Out, during a Ring Magazine press event, Ngannou said:
"The rematch with Joshua, to be honest, I feel very off and not very comfortable in that fight. It’s something that could happen, but what I do know for sure is that I want the rematch with Fury. Again, I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I didn’t like the Joshua fight. I think things wasn’t right, nothing was right and if it’s gonna be the same scenario, I’m not interested.”

According to ‘The Predator', he was kept in the locker room for nearly four hours before the fight, which is very unusual.
The former UFC champion has shown interest in a rematch with Tyson Fury. Previously, the two combatants squared off in 2023. Although Ngannou knocked his opponent down in the third round, Fury was still ahead in the judges' scorecards and secured a win via a controversial split decision.
Francis Ngannou admits to Joe Rogan that there was a problem during his bout with Anthony Joshua
Francis Ngannou exited the UFC in 2023 and signed with the PFL. He fought Tyson Fury in his pro-boxing debut, and although he lost the fight, his performance earned him a top 10 by the WBC. He was then booked to fight Anthony Joshua, which ended poorly.
He talked about the fight on The Joe Rogan Experience and told Rogan that he had lost his flow during the fight from round one.
“I got in the ring and wasn’t feeling myself and the first round when he knocked me down, I fell and I was like, did I slip, like, what exactly knocked me down? I remember exactly what happened until I got to the stool... I don’t know if it was the fatigue [or what it was] but something wasn’t right. Something was wrong... It wasn’t me."
