ONE world title challenger Jackie Buntan of the Philippines and the United States won't get it twisted.
The 27-year-old California native knows she is a massive underdog heading into a major battle with decorated Algerian-French kickboxer 'C18' Anissa Meksen this weekend.
Meksen is a former multi-time world champion, and has spent years dominating the sport at the highest levels. Meanwhile, this is Buntan's first kickboxing fight in ONE Championship, and it's undoubtedly an uphill battle for the young upstart.
Speaking to Violent Money TV in a recent interview, Buntan shared where she thinks Meksen has a massive advantage, and why it won't matter.

The Boxing Works representative said:
"Obviously she has way more experience than I have, I’m definitely an underdog on paper with the data and the numbers side to side. But besides Anissa, I’ve fought girls with more experience than me as well and was still able to come out on top."
Buntan joined ONE Championship in February of 2021, and has since proven herself as a force to be reckoned with in the world's largest martial arts organization.
She is currently 6-1 in the promotion, with notable victories over Nat Jaroonsak, Amber Kitchen, and Ekaterina Vandaryeva.
This weekend, Buntan takes on her toughest assignment yet.
