Third-ranked ONE Championship flyweight MMA contender 'The King' Danny Kingad of the Philippines is taking his training to the next level in preparation for a long overdue rematch with former divisional king 'Mikinho' Adriano Moraes of Brazil.

Kingad and Moraes are set to rehash their November 2017 rivalry when the two meet in the Circle this November.

The Filipino star is confident he can defeat his Brazilian adversary once and for all, and book the next shot at the vacant ONE flyweight MMA world title.

Speaking to One Sports in a recent interview, Kingad shared his thoughts on his preparations for the Moraes rematch.

The Lions Nation MMA representative said:

"I’m starting to pick up on my training now. I’m entering the hard stage of my training. Starting early is a huge advantage mainly because you won’t cram anything."

Kingad added:

"Because you have time to focus on everything, you’re not worried too much about your conditioning. Now all you have to do is focus on the game plan."

American MMA legend 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson announced his retirement at ONE 168: Denver last September, effectively vacating the flyweight MMA gold.

Both Kingad and Moraes will look to jockey for pole position as the fate of the division hangs in the balance.
