Reece McLaren expects to be a ONE world champion by the end of 2025.
Winner in three of his last four, 'Lightning' will look to collect arguably the biggest victory of his mixed martial arts career on Friday, December 6 when he squares off with interim ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred 'The Monkey God' Brooks at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.
As it stands, McLaren is already the fourth-ranked contender in ONE's flyweight MMA division. If he can earn a convincing win over one of the promotion's reigning world champions, he could very well be in line for a shot at the vacant flyweight MMA crown.

Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA, 'Lightning' looked ahead to the new year, hoping to squeeze in three fights and close out the calendar with a world title wrapped around his waist.
"At least 3 fights for that year," McLaren said. "That'd be amazing. Obviously, wins and that crown man. I'm all eyes on that crown."
Jarred Brooks previews upcoming bout
Getting off on the right foot will be no easy task for Reece McLaren as he faces one of ONE Championship's most dominant and confident forces.
Making a name for himself in the strawweight MMA divisions, Jarred Brooks has earned a series of noteworthy wins against Lito Adiwang, Hiroba Minowa, Bokang Masunyane, Joshua Pacio, and Gustavo Balart — the last two scoring him the undisputed and interim strawweight MMA world championships.
ONE Fight Night 26 will be Brooks' first time moving up to flyweight, but 'The Monkey God' is more than confident that his speed and strength will mitigate any sort of size disadvantage.
"My speed can overlay anything," Brooks told The MMA Superfan. "My power can overlay anything. And my muscles, the way that my muscles work, I can go against anybody."
Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 26 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, December 6 in U.S. primetime.
