On February 20, 2025, ONE Championship will return to the Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar for ONE 171. Several fights have been announced for the upcoming event, but there's plenty of room for more intriguing matchups to be added.
Two-division MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin recently participated in a ONE meet and greet in Bangkok. During the appearance, Malykhin called out heavyweight king 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane for a rematch at ONE 171:
"Qatar loves big guys, and I think a rematch with Kane would be an incredible event for them. I’m as fired up as ever and ready to reclaim my belt."

Anatoly Malykhin made his ONE Championship debut in March 2021 with an undefeated professional MMA record. The Russian powerhouse continued his winning ways against Alexandre Machado, Amir Aliakbari, and Kirill Girshenko (interim heavyweight MMA world title).
Malykhin's next three fights were life-changing, as he secured wins against Reinier de Ridder x2 and Arjan Bhullar. The legendary run featured 'Sladkiy' taking over the middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA divisions.
