Superlek Kiatmoo9 understands that his upcoming fight with Kongthoranee Sor Sommai at ONE Friday Fights 68 could have major implications for his future.
Another victory, of course, stretches his winning streak to 10 and should give him momentum for his bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenge against double champ Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver.
An upset loss, however, could impact his confidence in his bid for two-sport and two-division supremacy.
Speaking during the ONE Friday Fights 68 virtual press conference, Superlek says he has every intention to hold on to his spot as the No.1 ranked flyweight Muay Thai contender before moving up a weight class:

"Definitely, the fight against Jonathan Haggerty is really an important one. Right now, I'm focused on not losing my ranking and just give my best this Friday."
To say that the streaking Kongthoranee is a risky fight for Superlek is a massive understatement.
Similar to 'The Kicking Machine,' the 27-year-old Thai has also been on a roll, winning his last seven matches decisively.
ONE Friday Fights 68: Prajanchai vs Di Bella will air live in Asian Primetime from Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium on June 28. Follow this link to see local listings for the availability in your region.
Superlek reveals his only concern entering showdown with Kongthoranee
Despite the dangers that Kongthoranee brings, Superlek remains confident that his world-class skills are superior to his compatriot.
The reigning flyweight kickboxing world champion, though, admits he was already preparing his body to move up to 145 pounds before signing the dotted line against Kongthoranee.
Superlek told ONE Championship:
"Before being offered the fight with Kongthoranee, I was putting on weight to prepare for my fight with Haggerty. Now I’m losing it back, and right after I will have to make it to bantamweight. I’m not worried at all about the fight."
