Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Marcelo Garcia is fired up to show that he hasn't missed a beat since his last grappling match back in 2011.
The 41-year-old put pen to paper on a deal with ONE Championship last month, and the ground game wizard is now locked in for his hotly anticipated debut against Japanese submission specialist Masakazu Imanari at ONE 170 on Jan. 24.

"I'm there to prove that I [have] worked really hard, that I'm going to display the best technique possible."
Doubling down on what he wants to achieve, he continued:
"I want to go there to prove that I have developed a better technique. I'm there to prove, to show to people who watch that I have a very refined technique."
Marcelo Garcia is no stranger to the biggest platforms of BJJ and submission grappling. A five-time IBJJF world champion and a four-time ADCC world champion, the Brazilian icon has faced the who's who of the discipline.
Still, he can expect to be put to the test against a tapout master like Imanari, who racked up a mindblowing 29 submission wins across his 25-year MMA career.
