A veteran competitor like Adriano Moraes isn't going to be looking to completely disrupt his approach at this stage in his career. The former world champion knows what it takes to reach the mountain top so he approaches each fight with the same mentality and drive that got him there in the first place.
This means that a focused athlete like 'Mikinho' isn't worried about returning from a lengthy hiatus or facing a fellow top contender in Danny Kingad.
The two flyweights are set to meet in a rematch at ONE 169 on Nov. 8 in a pivotal match-up for the division. Moraes got the submission the first time around and considering all of his success under the ONE banner, he's keeping it simple for this fight, as he told Combate in a recent interview:
"I like to train a lot, and I'm always learning from guys, so I try to evolve, I see it all for the good, guys, so regardless of who they put me in to fight, I'm going, I'm going to fight, I'm going to do my best, I'm going to put on a show and but my strategy never changes, right?"

Adriano Moraes knows where he's at his best
Adriano Moraes knows himself very well at this stage in his career so performing to his best is something that he expects.
When he makes his way to the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the former ONE flyweight MMA world champion has the chance to return to the win column by repeating his previous win over 'The King.' A win here will set him up for big things at flyweight once again, which Adriano Moraes is certainly no stranger to.
For him, the emphasis is on doing what he always does, being the best version of himself that he can possibly be.
