“I'm going to get better” - Jarred Brooks learned to work hard from legendary Cael Sanderson

Former ONE strawweight MMA world champion and current first-ranked contender 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks of the United States doesn't look up to many people, but when he does, you can be sure it's a legend.

In a recent interview with South China Morning Post, Brooks talked about the legendary Cael Sanderson, and the impact the legendary coach has had on his career.

'The Monkey God' said:

"That's what I looked up to when I was a kid. I don't know if you guys know who Cael Sanderson is. Cael Sanderson is one of the best wrestlers of all time. He's coaching at Penn State now, and he's on his way to being the best coach of all time as well."

Brooks added:

"But whenever I watch him, even when he was at Iowa State, you would be like, man, they would ask him, like, hey, how did you check these guys? Amazing. Right then he says, I need to go back to the room and get better. That's what I need to do. I'm not going to answer any other questions. I'm telling you guys, I'm going to get better and what happens Cael Sanderson gets better."
