Jacob Smith says he's not making any excuses for his one-sided brawl with Rodtang Jitmuangnon in 2022.

The British star has another challenge on his hands other than fighting 'The Iron Man' for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai world title on Nov. 8. He's got to convince the fans that the rematch is going to be a more competitive war between equals at ONE 169.

Recalling his debut loss to 'The Iron Man,' Smith told ONE:

"I'm not going to make any excuses about it. I don't personally think I could've done any more on that day. Don't forget, this was two years ago. It was my first fight in ONE Championship. It was my first fight in 4-ounce gloves."

Jacob Smith currently holds the No.3 spot in the flyweight Muay Thai rankings and has one victory throughout his tenure in ONE Championship. Although he hasn't had a lot of fights since his debut in May 2022, the work to train for a world title has never stopped.

The lone victory to Walter Goncalves, however, stood out most profusely. Goncalves is a Muay Thai veteran with more than 70 bouts to his name, but somehow, he just couldn't trade with Smith.

The British powerhouse landed the knockout in the first round via a knee to the body, earning himself some respect within the striking community.

So on Nov. 8, he's ready to showcase that same kind of tact and precision against Rodtang, who may have already begun to underestimate him.

"Looking sharp" - Jacob Smith wows fans with his incredible toned physique and striking power

Jacob Smith is turning heads this week after releasing a series of photos and videos during his training camp.

One in particular, where he practices combinations that include both leg kicks and strikes, have resonated with the general public on Instagram.
