Reigning and undisputed ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion Tye Ruotolo of the United States can't wait to follow in his twin brother Kade's footsteps and make his professional mixed martial arts debut.
Kade made his pro MMA debut early last month with a first-round submission victory over Blake Cooper at ONE 167 on Prime Video. Tye wants to follow suit.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in a recent interview, Tye says he is looking at making his pro MMA debut in ONE Championship soon, and hints at potentially wanting to strike more than grapple.

The 21-year-old BJJ black belt stated:
"We're going to see, you know. Kade didn't take any damage his last fight, he got a couple good cracks in early, so yeah I was super stoked to see how his debut went, and yeah, I’m not going to talk up my standup, you know, until I get in the ring, but yeah, my plan's always the same - take down, pass, submit. But, you know, I got a feeling when I get in there I'm going to want to throw some punches for sure."
Needless to say, the Ruotolo twins are two of the most exciting martial arts competitors in the world today, and Tye Ruotolo should make a fine MMA fighter.
Tye Ruotolo returns to face Jozef Chen at ONE Fight Night 23 on Prime Video
Before Tye Ruotolo can even think about putting on the 4-ounce gloves and throwing down in the MMA arena, he has to take care of business first against a very dangerous opponent.
Ruotolo is set to lock horns with South Africa's Jozef Chen at ONE Fight Night 23: Ok vs. Rasulov on Prime Video.
The event broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
It will be contested at a 186-pound catchweight and Ruotolo's welterweight submission grappling belt will not be on the line.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and absolutely free on Amazon Prime Video. The event airs Friday, July 5th, beginning at 8:00pm ET.
