Dominance will be the name of the game when former ONE strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks returns at ONE Fight Night 24.

The Mash Fight Team athlete is fired up to start another run to the top, and should he get his hand raised inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium on August 2, 'The Monkey God' will then only have his radar locked on one name – reigning kingpin Joshua Pacio.

Before he envisions a trilogy fight against the Filipino warrior, the 31-year-old must pass his next assignment in No.3-ranked Gustavo Balart, who looks to ruin his dream of claiming the ONE interim strawweight MMA world championship that will be up for grabs in Bangkok, Thailand.

To Jarred Brooks, however, he does not see himself being pushed into one too many uncomfortable spots against the Cuban veteran. Instead, he expects nothing but a one-sided beatdown on fight night.

Speaking to ABS-CBN, the top-ranked contender shared:

"I'm gonna get him in the corner, and I'm gonna bully him, and I'm gonna make him feel like the younger brother, even though he's older than me."

Jarred Brooks admits he "crossed the line" against Pacio

As a self-driven individual, Jarred Brooks doesn't need much motivation to excel in any challenges.

However, even he admits that he let his confidence get the better of him during his uneventful ONE 166: Qatar outing, where he surrendered his gold due to an unintentional spike to Pacio.

On his lesson from the defeat, Jarred Brooks told Sportskeeda MMA previously:

"I think that [DQ loss to Joshua Pacio] was a great thing that happened for me inside the Circle because it let me understand how I should display my characteristics and display my martial arts style without crossing the line. And I think I crossed the line there in March."

North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire ONE Fight Night 24 card live in U.S. primetime for free next Friday, August 2.
