Reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 recently received high praise from none other than ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Superlek was referred to as a genius fighter by the ONE head honcho, and he was immediately honored by the comments.

However, 'The Kicking Machine' believes he isn't worthy of such high praise and he says that he still has a lot of room to grow.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Superlek reacted to praise from Chatri.

'The Kicking Machine' stated:

"I just want to say that I'm grateful to hear that comment, but I don't really agree. I think I still have room for improvement. And also I think, I would have a game plan, but then in the ring, I would have to improvise a lot. Most of the time, the opponent comes and they just come in with a surprise. So in terms of being technical, or having a (good) fight IQ, I think I still have to improve on that."

There is no doubt Superlek is one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters today, but perhaps greater than his thunderous kicks and insane knockout ability is his humility, which allows him to improve all aspects of his game constantly.
