At ONE on Prime Video 4, two Asian MMA legends will go head-to-head for the very first time when Aung La N Sang meets Yushin Okami.

Whilst ‘The Burmese Python’ Aung La N Sang has become one of the most recognizable fighters in ONE Championship history, Yushin Okami has competed all over the world in multiple promotions.

In this clash between two of the region's greatest exports, Okami will return to competition for the first time in three years to set up this bout for the history books.

In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Aung La spoke about how it feels to be taking on a fighter like Okami, who has been competing for two decades:

“You call me OG but I still feel pretty young. I’m not that [much] older than the guys who are coming up and such, but I’ve always watched Okami in different promotions. I’ve been a fan of his so for me to be able to compete against him I’m very excited and I’m very happy.”

‘The Burmese Python’ will be returning to the circle for the first time since his loss to Vitaly Bigdash in their iconic trilogy fight in February.

His legacy in ONE Championship is assured after his reign as a simultaneous double-weight champion. He now has the opportunity to add a name like Yushin Okami to his impressive resume.

Aung La N Sang says opponents won't change his style

Former ONE two-division world champion Aung La N Sang will not change his approach to fighting despite going through the roughest patch of his career,

‘The Burmese Python’ has lost three of his last five contests in the circle. However, despite hearing about how he should adapt his style, Aung La is sticking to doing what he does best.

Whilst some fighters can be quick to change things away from the public eye in their training camps, the veteran doesn’t see any need to switch up his current preparations.

The 37-year old, who trains out of Kill Cliff in Florida, USA, recently spoke to ONE Championship and addressed his plans going forward, as well as his current situation:

“It doesn't make a big difference. I know what my skill sets are, I know what I'm strong at and I know what I'm good at. And at the gym, we have a lot of, you know, people that will give me different looks. So, I'll camp around what [my opponent's] strengths and weaknesses are. But that doesn't really change how I train. I'm down to compete against anybody in the world.”

Aung La N Sang returns at ONE on Prime Video 4, where he'll face a fellow Asian MMA legend in Yushin Okami.
