The bout with Luque was initially scheduled for an Aug. 3 date at UFC on ABC 7, but travel issues led to its untimely postponement, pushing Diaz's return back.
Now, the pair will lock horns at UFC 310, where it will be one of the several high-profile bouts. Anthony Smith will lock horns against Dominick Reyes at light heavyweight, while Aljamain Sterling faces Movsar Evloev at featherweight.
Nick Diaz is currently on a career rough patch
Nick Diaz hasn't fought in three years, and there's a good reason why. He has experienced a steep decline since his days as an elite fighter. Since 2012, he has only fought four times, going on a four-fight winless streak, consisting of three losses and one no-contest against Anderson Silva.
Check out Nick Diaz's loss to Robbie Lawler:
His most recent outing was at UFC 266, where he took on former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler. Unfortunately, it was a poor display from the Stockton legend, who was TKO'd in one of only three times in his career, where he retired.
