Constant improvement equates to success in combat sports, and American Muay Thai sensation Luke Lessei subscribes to that line of thinking. Speaking exclusively with ONE Championship, 'The Chef' promised fans that they will always see something new in his game every time he competes, saying:
"Oh yeah. I mean, this was only my fourth fight in small gloves, so learning the range, not standing there and banging, yeah, just finding all the different holes. I think, with my style, I'm able to adapt, really, to any fighter, and the way I can pinpoint accuracy. I think it's only the beginning to see the types of shots that I'll be landing."
The Dubuque Martial Arts Group representative referred to his first-round TKO of Cody Jerome at ONE Fight Night 27 this past Friday, Jan. 10, as a testament to his growth as a fighter:

"Even this one today, like the shot that I landed, was a fairly easy shot. I was surprised at how clean it landed. So, yeah, definitely only the beginning. You know, I'm not just a tough guy. I got so many more flavors to show."
In addition to the win, Lessei received a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
