Newly-crowned ONE strawweight world champion Jarred Brooks may have had one of the most successful title runs the promotion has ever seen. Since debuting in ONE last year, 'The Monkey God' has run roughshod in the strawweight division, winning his first three bouts in dominant fashion.
At ONE 164, the American wrestling machine reached the pinnacle of his marvelous stint in ONE so far by capturing gold against then-world champion Joshua 'The Passion' Pacio. Brooks did so by out-pointing the titleholder in front of his home crowd in Manila, Philippines.
With the ONE strawweight world title firmly resting on Brooks' shoulders, a long line of 125-pound fighters will be chomping at the bit to get a crack at him. The world champion, however, is not worried at all.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Jarred Brooks sent out a message to his future challengers:
"Do you think that you have an advantage against me? I've already out-thought you, and I've already paid attention to you. And you know, I've been stalking your social media for the past year and a half. So I already know you, and hopefully, you get to know me a little bit better. If you've watched my last fight, I'm a magician. I'll change things as quickly as possible against you, the opponent."
It looks like the world champion has all the bases covered when it comes to his future title challengers, including stalking their social media activities. Talk about an obsessive perfectionist.
