Jarred Brooks promised a 2.0 version of 'The Monkey God' at ONE Fight Night 24, and he lived up to his very words last Friday, August 2.
Not a stranger to walking the talk, the former divisional king showcased one of his fiercest displays to finish No.3-ranked divisional contender Gustavo Balart inside the very first round of their match to claim the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title.
Of course, it doesn't come as much of a surprise to what he wants next – a world title unification war and a rubber match against divisional king Joshua Pacio.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA's Nic Atkin inside the Lumpinee Stadium, Jarred Brooks admitted that he'd need no time at all to get his arsenal ready for the hotly anticipated showdown against the Filipina warrior.
"We didn't take too much damage, and we're ready to go again. You know, you can only run for so long," the Mash Fight Team star said, possibly taking a dig at Pacio.
"I know that you [Joshua Pacio] had a torn ACL, hope that heals up really quick, and I'm paying attention to you every day, every night."

Jarred Brooks and Pacio's rivalry has been nothing short of fireworks
Jarred Brooks and Pacio are currently tied at one apiece in their two-year rivalry.
'The Monkey God' bagged a massive upset of the Lions Nation MMA representative inside the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, to secure the ONE strawweight MMA world title back at ONE 164.
And while he looked ready to move 2-0 against 'The Passion' when they ran it back at ONE 166: Qatar, an unintentional illegal spike to Pacio forced him to surrender his gold via disqualification.
Now, with an interim world title victory under his belt, a Jarred Brooks and Pacio trilogy is bound to happen.
When it does – expect another fierce race to the finish line between two of the best strawweight MMA fighters today.
