“I’m prepared for it” - Kiamran Nabati downplays Nong-O’s legendary kicking game

29-year-old Russian Muay Thai superstar Kiamran Nabati is confident that he can get the job done against a legend in Muay Thai icon Nong-O Hama. But while fans believe Nong-O may have the upper hand in this fight, Nabati says he has prepared very well for the perils that his legendary opponent will bring to the ring.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Nabati says he has prepared well for Nong-O's strengths and the unique setup that ONE Championship has with Muay Thai in small gloves.

He is confident he will come away with the victory.

The 29-year-old Archangel Michel representative said:

"Maybe not in history, but yes, he does have hard kicks. But I’m prepared for it. I did hard sparring, I did hard rounds with MMA gloves against MMA fighters, against Muay Thai fighters. I’m prepared for it. I’m ready, I can’t wait, brother."

Nabati is looking to make it four in a row in ONE Championship. After big wins over Pongsiri, Avatar, and Suablack, he is now taking on the biggest-named Thai opponent of his career in Nong-O.

A victory over the legend could position him in the bantamweight Muay Thai top five, where a host of big-name opponents await.
