Jacob Smith will be ready for all possibilities in his career-defining moment at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug. The hard-hitting Brit vows to be on his toes regardless if Rodtang Jitmuangnon comes forth with a Muay Mat (aggressive) or a Muay Femur (technical) style in their five-round flyweight Muay Thai war.
The no.3 ranked contender told the Cageside Press in a recent interview:
"But I’m prepared for both scenarios in regards to how Rodtang is going to fight me. Will he fight me like how he fought me the first time - more technical? Or is he just gonna run through me? I’m prepared for both outcomes."

Rodtang became a global sensation for his fearless way of fighting, often willingly putting himself in harm's way just to be able to dish out punishment. However, much to everyone's surprise, 'The Iron Man' proved he's not all brawn when he welcomed Smith to the home of martial arts back in 2022.
The Thai marauder displayed a mesmerizing display of technical superiority in 'The Art of Eight Limbs' and outclassed Smith for three full rounds.
While the challenger will be keen on matching Rodtang's high fight IQ in their rematch, he'd still be ready just in case the champ returns to his gunslinging ways.

Jacob Smith respects Rodtang but won't hesitate to snatch his gold
Jacob Smith has grown exponentially since getting humbled by Rodtang when they first shared the Circle. But as much as the British challenger respects 'The Iron Man', there's nothing else on his mind than avenging his previous loss and dethroning him in the process.
The Bad Company and Thaifist affiliate told Sportskeeda MMA:
"I’m doing everything in my power to come for that goal [winning the world title]. 100 percent. I’m not here just saying it, I’ve got a lot of respect for Rodtang. I respect him massively, more than the other people I’m close to at ONE Championship like Liam Harrison, etc. Other than that, I’ve got so much respect. But my job is to come for the win."
ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug will air live in US Primetime on Nov. 8 from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. This stacked event is free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
