First-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai contender 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo will stop at nothing to finally get a crack at two-sport king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty.

The 25-year-old Scotish superstar has long clamored for a showdown with the reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion, and Carrillo says he is ready whenever ONE Championship wants to make the fight happen.

He told Sky Sports MMA Club in a recent interview:

"I think next month, I’d fight him in two weeks. I’m ready. Weeks notice or whatever, I’m ready to fight. Everyone knows I want to fight. I had my heart set on fighting him last summer, but yeah, unfortunately I can’t answer the question. I don’t know, but the sooner the better for me."

Haggerty is getting ready to defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Thai megastar 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver this September.

Assuming Haggerty gets past Superlek, Carrillo wants the next crack at the gold.

Of course, Haggerty beating Superlek is of no guarantee. Many believe it will be Haggerty's toughest fight to date. If Superlek wins, could a Superlek vs. Carrillo showdown be in the cards?
