Fans were excited to know that Joe Rogan will perform at a live comedy special for Netflix. Despite having a strong base in stand-up comedy, Rogan is best known as the UFC color commentator, Fear Factor host, and podcaster. However, his recent announcement got the fans excited to watch the show live.

Recently, Rogan took to X and announced that he would perform a live comedy special 'Burn the Boats' on Netflix. This will mark the 56-year-old's first comedy special in six years and will broadcast from 10 pm ET on August 3.

"Saturday, August 3rd I’m doing a live comedy special on @netflix at 10pm east coast time. I’m very pumped for this and I hope you enjoy it."

Joe Rogan's previous stand-up comedy specials

Joe Rogan has been involved in stand-up comedy for a considerable amount of time and has given seven specials over the last 23 years. 'Joe Rogan: Live from the Belly of the Beast' was his first stand-up comedy special that was released in 2001. It was followed by 'Joe Rogan: Live' in 2007.

Since then, Rogan has given the fans five more specials - 'Talking Monkeys in Space' (2009), 'Live from Tabernacle' (2012), 'Rocky Mountain High' (2014), 'Joe Rogan: Triggered' (2016), 'Joe Rogan: Strange Times' (2018).

Rogan's podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, has by far been his most successful venture. He has often interacted with several stand-up comedians. The podcast is one of the most popular long-format shows on the internet.

In 2021, Rogan signed a contract with Spotify for a reported sum of $100 million. In 2024, it was reported that the contract had been renewed for worth up to $250 million.
