"I'm rooting for Superbon" - Johan Ghazali envisions Superbon claiming two-sport glory vs Tawanchai at ONE 170

ONE Championship is set to kick off 2025 with some of the biggest striking clashes of the year and Johan Ghazali has got his eyes on a few.

The young rising star is set to compete on yet another huge card which will be another great opportunity for him to showcase his skills.

At ONE 170 on Jan. 24, he will return to the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, to face Johan Estupinan in an absolute barnburner.

Later in the night, a rematch will take place in the main event with a matchup that has got striking fans salivating.

Tawanchai will put his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship on the line for a second time against the interim featherweight kickboxing kingpin Superbon.

During the recent virtual media day to preview the card, Johan Ghazali gave his thoughts on the headliner and who he is rooting for.

The 18-year-old said that he's pulling for the challenger in this one because of what he has been through in the past:

"Superbon-Tawanchai, of course, I'm rooting for Superbon. I've talked to him and he said he's confident. In his last fight, he told me he had too many injuries and he didn't train right, and there were so many things [that plagued him]. So I'm rooting for Superbon in that fight."

Johan Ghazali can look to steal some of the spotlight

Johan Ghazali has competed on some big cards in the past during his time in ONE Championship.

At ONE 170, he has another great opportunity to steal some of that spotlight by putting on a show against Johan Estupinan in their flyweight Muay Thai duel.

Both men are incredibly exciting and dangerous strikers who have a track record for walking away with performance bonuses.

Their clash is one that certainly can't be missed on Jan. 24.
