Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Danielle Kelly of the United States says her previous experience with childhood bullying has made her fearful of having children of her own in the future.
Kelly had a rough upbringing growing up, as her family had to constantly relocate due to her late father's occupation. This made it very hard for Kelly to develop social connections, and she constantly felt like an outsider everywhere she went.
Speaking on a guest appearance at The Few Will Hunt show, Kelly said this experience has taught her many lessons.

She explained:
"I'm scared to have kids, especially if they had to deal with that bully in their school. It happens. Especially being in jiu-jitsu for 20 years or plus, it still affects me to this day. Sure, I have a following, but it doesn't get better. I think it's just different levels, but it always starts with being a kid."

Atomweight submission grappling queen Danielle Kelly knows she is in for a fight against dangerous Brazilian Mayssa Bastos at ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video.
The 28-year-old told ONE Championship:
"I think that in this match, I think she’s gonna be trying to attack my back. I think she’s going to try to rush something like a leg lock because a lot of people just like doing leg locks with me – which I hope so because I like to counter. I’m looking to break anything she gives me."
