"I'm super excited to fight this young prospect" - Aung La N Sang eager to end Shamil Erdogan's unbeaten streak

Aung La N Sang returns at ONE 168 where he looks to turn back the clock once again by extending his winning streak.

The 39-year-old veteran has been there and done it all in his career but that hasn't taken away his motivation.

As a former two-weight world champion, he's still showing that he has the ability to compete at the highest level and this next match-up is no different.

On September 6 at ONE Championship's return to Denver, he will take on the undefeated Shamil Erdogan in yet another opportunity to defend his position in the division.

During a recent YouTube video posted on his channel which chronicles his preparations for this fight, Aung La gave his initial thoughts on his opponent and why he is excited about this clash:

"I have a super tough opponent, undefeated, undisputed fighter from Turkey, his name is Shamil Erdogan, and he is super tough. He put on some great performance his last performance, it was against my old opponent as well. So I'm super excited to fight this young prospect."

Aung La N Sang looks to prove himself once again

Aung La N Sang isn't just one of the most experienced competitors in his weight class, he's a staple of the ONE Championship roster.

'The Burmese Python' has been able to effectively bounce back from a few difficult defeats in his career and now finds himself rising on a three-fight winning streak where he has produced finishes each time out.

Erdogan poses a significant threat to him and showed what he is capable of in his second-round finish over Fan Rong in June last year.

It would be foolish to count someone quite like Aung La out and he will continue to do what he does best when ONE Championship returns to the United States.
