Reigning ONE strawweight MMA world champion 'The Passion' Joshua Pacio of the Philippines simply cannot wait to return to action to settle his unfinished business with interim titleholder 'The Monkey God' Jarred Brooks.
Pacio defeated Brooks via disqualification last March at ONE 166: Qatar to reclaim the strawweight MMA gold. However, he injured his knee and had surgery shortly after, and the Filipino star is now in recovery mode with no definite timetable for his return.
That being said, Pacio has given fans an update on his status, which he shared with Tiebreaker Times in a recent interview.

'The Passion' said:
"The recovery’s been well. There are a lot of people who are helping out and are continuing to help out. I’m super motivated to get back. That’s my goal — to finally put on the gloves again, enter the cage, and give the fans an exciting performance."
Pacio and Brooks have business to settle. The two now sit at one win apiece, following the unfortunate end to their rematch earlier this year.
'The Monkey God' spiked 'The Passion' illegally on his head, resulting in a disqualification loss. The American has since reclaimed a part of the belt, winning the interim strawweight MMA gold with a first-round submission victory over Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 earlier this month.
