Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk could finally end up facing off in the squared circle, as Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn recently provided an update on a potential clash.
Fury and Usyk once appeared certain to fight, but as is the case with many of boxing's big fights, negotiations ended several times. Both camps have blamed each other for talks falling apart and have since gone on to pursue other fights.
Usyk recently defeated Daniel Dubois via TKO in the ninth round, while Fury is set to take on Francis Ngannou in a crossover clash in October.
Eddie Hearn recently spoke to Boxing Social where he provided a positive update on a potential Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk fight:

"I don't know whether it will happen this year. There have been some rumors about a late-December date. I guess January would make more sense with Usyk coming off the fight with Dubois, and also the Ngannou fight. Who knows? I think it's the right fight for heavyweight boxing, it's the fight [that] should be happening now. But we also understand that Fury-Ngannou is a big event, and I'm sure there'll be conversations and it'll be up to two fighters if they want to make that fight happen."

Tyson Fury shares his thoughts on Mike Tyson training Francis Ngannou ahead of their clash
Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou are set to face off in a crossover boxing match in Saudi Arabia on October 28.
Former heavyweight champion and boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson was recently announced as Ngannou's trainer for his clash with 'The Gypsy King'.
Tyson is considered one of the most powerful punchers to ever live and will no doubt be able to give fellow hard-hitter Francis Ngannou some tips about how to land on 'The Gypsy King'.
Tyson Fury shared his thoughts on 'Iron Mike' training Ngannou for their clash during an interview with Sky Sports. He said:
"I think that it’s sad, actually. The man that I am named after, a legend, has to go against me and then come out as a loser, having lost to a man who was named after him. I think that it’s sad and I think that he should be in my corner, not the opposing corner, but business is business and I understand that it’s strictly business"
