Jonathan Haggerty thinks he would have done well in a mixed-rules bout against P4P great Demetrious Johnson.
In March, 'Mighty Mouse' made history at ONE Championship's 10th-anniversary spectacular ONE X, going toe-to-toe with 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the first-ever mixed-rules bout.
After surviving the opening round contested under Muay Thai rules, Johnson secured a submission victory over Rodtang in the second stanza after the ruleset switched to MMA. It was a critically-acclaimed clash that left fight fans clamoring for more mixed-rules matches between some of the promotion's biggest stars.

Appearing on the Winners Talking podcast, 'The General' believes things likely would have played out similarly had he had the chance to face 'DJ' in a hybrid bout.
"I feel like I'd have put on a better performance if I'm honest," Haggerty said. "But yeah, if I got in the second round, it would have been a problem for me. But I've stood beside Mighty Mouse, and I'm kinda tall for him. I'll dominate the first, hell dominate the second."
Jonathan Haggerty looks back on his iconic rivalry with Rodtang
While Jonathan Haggerty never had the opportunity to face Demetrious Johnson before the former ONE flyweight MMA world champion retired from the sport in September, he did have the privilege of facing 'The Iron Man' on two separate occasions.
First meeting at ONE: Dawn of Heroes, Rodtang and 'The General' delivered a closely contested instant classic that saw 'The Iron Man' walk away with the win and the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.
Though Rodtang made things a little more definitive in their rematch five months later, Haggerty still thinks his first fight with the Thai superstar was a draw.
"I mean so in ONE Championship, I think what they do is they score it by damage," Haggerty added. "I think on the scorecards it was a draw. But ONE Championship doesn't allow any draws. You’re not allowed to draw. So I think what they did is they went down to damage and the knockdown. I think that's what done it."
Perhaps one day, we'll see Rodtang and Haggerty close out their trilogy. Until then, relive their iconic rivalry courtesy of ONE Championship's YouTube channel:
