Canadian ground game savant Dante Leon does not want to talk about a ONE world title shot ahead of the catchweight submission grappling match against Tommy Langaker on Jan. 10 at ONE Fight Night 27.
According to Leon, he wants to focus on the task at hand and secure a win first before even mentioning a match with the undisputed ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion, Kade Ruotolo.
The 29-year-old also noted that the Norwegian athlete is the fighter to beat since he was coming off back-to-back world title fights with Ruotolo.
Dante Leon shared this during his pre-fight interview with the Bangkok Post by explaining:

"As far as what happens after this match, we don't know, but I'm not thinking too far ahead of Tommy, because, like I said, he's the guy with the most experience. He's the number one as far as, like, winner of this match. He's the number contender in my eyes. So, you know, that's the big focus."

Although his current focus remains on Langaker, the Pedigo Submission Fighting representative is willing to challenge both Kade and Tye Ruotolo for their respective 26-pound golden belts.
Leon mentioned this during the media day of the upcoming ONE Fight Night 27, where he proclaimed:
"But for me, 170 or 185 is feasible, is doable, and either one of them. I have a history with Tye, I don't have any history with Kade, as far as matches go. Both those matches interest me and have a little different storyline to them."
ONE Fight Night 27 will air live from the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 10, and North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription can watch all the action live and for free.
