“I was made to fight” - John Lineker eager to prove he can reach the peak in MMA and Muay Thai

Whether it's mixed martial arts or Muay Thai, John Lineker was made for fighting.

While 'Hands of Stone' is best known for his work in MMA where he's amassed 37 career wins, including 18 knockouts and a ONE bantamweight world title reign, the 34-year-old superstar recently decided to test his skills in the art of eight limbs.

Needless to say, Lineker passed his first test with flying colors.

After scoring a vicious second-round KO against Asa Ten Pow at ONE 168: Denver, Lineker returned less than a month later and bagged his second straight win in Muay Thai via a highlight-reel finish against Alexey Balyko at ONE Fight Night 25.

This Friday night, Lineker returns to the Circle for another go in Muay Thai, this time against 71-win veteran Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai.

Lineker goes into ONE Fight Night 27 knowing that he'll face his toughest test yet, but if he can land another big win on martial arts' biggest global stage, it'll prove without a shadow of a doubt that he was built for combat, regardless of the sport. Speaking to the promotion, Lineker said:

"I believe that if I win this fight, the fans will see that I was made to fight, regardless of the sport. I know that I can adapt to any place, but this will undoubtedly be the biggest test. I want and hope to have a great fight!"

With almost 100 career fights to his credit, Kulabdam will be one of if not the most experienced fighters John Lineker has ever faced in his career.

Still, Lineker is confident in his ability to get the job done. After all, he's been fighting for well over two decades, whether that be in the cage, the ring, or the streets:

"I know how good he is. He's a great professional, a great fighter, but I know how to do it too. I've been fighting since I was 12 years old, and I've always gotten into the ring to beat my opponents."
