Last Friday, Jan. 10, showcased ONE Championship's latest event, ONE Fight Night 27. In the co-main event, Kulabdam battled with former bantamweight MMA world champion John Lineker in an action-packed Muay Thai bout.
Lineker was on track to extend his promotional Muay Thai record to 3-0 when he knocked down Kulabdam in the first round. Unfortunately for him, the two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai world champion bounced back in the following rounds to secure a unanimous decision win.
Following his gusty performance, Kulabdam joined Nick Atkin of the Bangkok Post for a post-fight interview. He said:

"I am absolutely delighted for the victory tonight because even if it looked like I was going to lose, I managed to come back."
According to official reports, Kulabdam was awarded the second and third rounds on the judge's scorecards. There was slight controversy surrounding the decision due to Kulabdam not knocking Lineker down in the fight. The judges ultimately decided the overall damage inflicted by the Thai superstar was worthy of a win.

Kulabdam takes one step closer to ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title
Between April and July 2024, Kulabdam endured a significant setback due to consecutive losses against Nong-O Hama and Nabil Anane. Since then, the former Lumpinee Stadium world champion has bounced back with wins against Suablack Tor Pran49 (third-round knockout) and John Lineker (unanimous decision).
Kulabdam remains unranked in the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai division, but he's proven to be a worthy top contender. It wouldn't be surprising to see him matched up against number three-ranked Kiamran Nabati soon.
In the meantime, No. 2-ranked Nico Carrillo is scheduled to fight number five-ranked Nabil Anane for the division's interim world title at ONE 170.
Superlek Kiatmoo9 was supposed to defend the undisputed throne against Carrillo at the Jan. 24 event before pulling out with an injury.
