Reigning ONE bantamweight MMA world champion Fabricio Andrade believes he doesn't get enough credit for being one of the best 145-pound martial artists on the planet.

'Wonder Boy' is eager to walk the talk in a few hours, when he defends his 26 pounds of gold for the first time against a dangerous challenger in one of three world title bouts at the blockbuster ONE 170.

As far as the Brazilian dynamo is concerned, there's no better way to prove his claim than knocking out Kwon Won Il for the second time inside the sold-out Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fabricio Andrade told The Bangkok Post in his ONE 170 pre-event interview:

"Yeah, I think I'm one of the best MMA fighters in ONE Championship, you know, and I think I would do good in any promotion. I would do good with fighting any fighter [from] any promotion, I would match up well with anyone, and yeah I think I'm one of the best in MMA."

With a decorated kickboxing background, Andrade transitioned to MMA in 2014 where he belonged all along. The 27-year-old announced his entry to ONE with a brilliant submission finish of Mark Abelardo in 2020, a precursor of things to come.

The Evolve MMA and Tiger Muay Thai athlete registered six impressive victories in the home of martial arts, including his world-title-winning performance against the legendary John Lineker.

Fabricio Andrade already figured out Kwon Won Il's weakness

Fabricio Andrade's unforgiving rampage in ONE included a one-round beatdown of Kwon Won Il at ONE 158 in 2022.

According to 'Wonder Boy', the South Korean slugger exhibited poor distance management in that bout, allowing him to land a crushing blow to the body and finish him off early.

"He doesn't have good distance control and doesn't use his wingspan well. I have good distance control, and I can use that to my advantage to land strikes without him being able to counterattack," Andrade told ONE.

ONE 170 will air live in Asian Primetime on Jan. 24 via watch.onefc.com.
