ONE flyweight Muay Thai monster Denis Puric wants to fight for the currently vacant 135-pound Muay Thai world championship against former king Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
In an interview with the Bangkok Post, 'The Bosnian Menace' divulged his desire to share the circle with Rodtang once again:
"I mean, it's always Rodtang. I love the last outing with Rodtang, it was amazing. That was the most fun fight that I've ever been involved in. So I don't know if they're going to let him fight for the belt again because he's missed weight quite a few times."
He added:

"But whoever, [it] doesn't matter. I'm here to fight anybody. Especially if I beat this guy, I think he's one of the toughest guys to beat in the division so if I beat him, then it doesn't matter who they put in front of me."

Denis Puric fought 'The Iron Man' in a catchweight (141.25 pounds) kickboxing bout at ONE 167 this past June, which the Thai megastar handily won via unanimous decision.
Before he pursues a world title showdown with Rodtang though, Puric will first need to defeat Elias Mahmoudi at ONE Fight Night 26 on Friday, Dec. 6, inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
ONE Fight Night 26 will air live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Denis Puric unhappy about how Rodtang lost Muay Thai crown
Denis Puric is still saddened that Rodtang was stripped of the 135-pound Muay Thai crown for missing weight before he was set to defend it this past November versus Jacob Smith.
In the same interview with the Bangkok Post, Puric said:
"I was kind of upset for him because he lost the title and I really wanted to fight him for that belt because I think I deserve a rematch. You know, that was a super close fight. I was just upset man, more upset than surprised."
