Jake Paul is one of the biggest names in boxing right now, with the former YouTuber hell-bent on proving he can win a world title in the sport. He entered the professional boxing world in 2020 and has since accumulated a record of 11-1.

Paul has brought in sparring partners from across the glove to prepare him for fights, as well as to help him develop the requisite skillset to compete at the highest level. But according to former sparring partner Kalvin Henderson, it would be wise not to go too hard against the Disney star-turned-pugilist in training.

Henderson holds a professional record of 19-2-1 and has competed for a WBA super-middleweight title, losing out to David Morrel. 'Hot Sauce' was brought in to prepare Paul for his bout against Tommy Fury in 2023, and the professional boxer has now shared details of his time with 'The Problem Child'.

He was recently interviewed by iFL TV, where he said this:

"I knew that I was light years above him skill and experience-wise, so I went into it with the mindset of, 'If he's here, I'll get here.' I wasn't really hurting him, but you knew I could turn it on at any moment... One of his coaches was like, 'What are you doing? We need you to push him.'" [0:37-1:25]

Henderson continued:

"Tuesday came, they told me to spar Jake Paul for five-rounds straight. I went straight to him, no boxing, ain't no in-and-out. I just walked straight to him and dogged him out... Sadly to say that's the last time I sparred Mr. Paul... I messed up the bag, man... My coach was there, he was like, 'This the last time you sparring him... You beating the s**t outta this dude.'" Jake Paul vs. Conor McGregor was the original goal, not Logan Paul, says Ariel Helwani

Rumors of a bout between Logan Paul and Conor McGregor have taken the combat sports world by storm. The bout is set to be financed by Indian business tycoons, the Ambani family, with both fighters reportedly set to earn up to $250 million.

But leading combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani has shared some insights into the, stating that Jake Paul was the original opponent for McGregor. He said this:

"My understanding is the first choice is, 'We want Jake Paul. We want to be in the Jake Paul business, we want Jake to fight here in India.' And so then the top choice was Paul versus Conor McGregor. That was the pie-in-the-sky idea."
