Denice Zamboanga has seen a world title opportunity slip away from her fingers on several occasions.
With 26 pounds of gold now within grasp, 'The Menace' admitted she could not afford to stay idle even for one second. The proud Filipina warrior even admitted to pushing herself in training while still recuperating from a hamstring injury:
"My training continued. Even though I suffered a minor injury, I never really stopped training," Zamboanga said in a report from ABS-CBN.

Denice Zamboanga says the time is now to achieve her full potential
Injuries, along with some unforeseen incidents have derailed Denice Zamboanga's world title opportunities.
Despite dealing with disappointment over and over again, the 27-year-old remained patient and trusted that her time would finally come.
'The Menace' told The MMA Superfan:
"I think when I travel already. But really, there's still the weigh-ins. But I feel that this time around, 100 percent it's really going to happen. Back then, there were times when I felt like something's gonna go bad. This time, 100 percent the fight will really happen."
