“I never thought he would cross over” - Kulabdam admits he never envisioned fighting John Lineker in Muay Thai 

Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai is still shocked that he will fight MMA legend John Lineker this Friday night.

Emanating from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thai sensation Kulabdam will square off with 'Hands of Stone' in a highly anticipated Muay Thai bout as ONE presents a loaded ONE Fight Night 27 card, airing live and exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the United States and Canada.

While Kulabdam is no stranger to testing himself against some of the best strikers in the world, like Nabil Anane and former ONE world champion Nong-O Hama, the Thai star recognizes that Lineker may be his most dangerous opponent yet.

And one he never thought he'd have the chance to fight on martial arts' biggest global stage.

"John is the toughest fighter, even tougher than Nabil," the Thai said during a ONE Fight Night 27 pre-fight interview. "I’ve heard of him for a long time, and I’ve watched him fight in MMA, but I never thought he would cross over to fight in Muay Thai."

John Lineker goes for his third straight win in Muay Thai against Kulabdam

After seeing his five-fight unbeaten streak snapped at the hands of the Nong-O, as mentioned above, in April, Kulabdam has since bounced back with a big third-round knockout of Suablack Tor Pran49 at ONE Friday Fights 81.

Overall, he goes into his 14th promotional appearance with 71 career wins, eight of them coming under the ONE banner.

Meanwhile, John Lineker has quickly established himself as a formidable force in the art of eight limbs with a pair of brutal back-to-back knockouts against Asa Ten Pow and Alexey Balyko. Even more impressive is the fact that both of those finishes came less than a month apart.
