Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai has been able to regain some momentum in the bantamweight Muay Thai division after producing back-to-back wins.

The experienced Thai is a top competitor in this division but he has struggled when facing the best of the best.

This was the case last July when, at ONE Friday Fights 69, he faced off with Algerian-Thai phenom Nabil Anane, who was making some real noise in the promotion.

The 20-year-old came into the fight off the back of consecutive wins over Nakrob Fairtex and Muangthai PK Saenchai before going on to stop Kulabdam with a second-round knockout.

Since then, Anane has continued to impress by earning two more wins, including a dominant victory over former title challenger Felipe Lobo. He will now face Nico Carrillo for the ONE interim bantamweight Muay Thai world championship at ONE 170 on Jan. 24.

Following his recent victory at ONE Fight Night 27, where he came through a great fight with John Lineker, Kulabdam spoke about the potential of facing the last man to beat him once again and what he would do differently.

He said in his post-event press conference:

"Well, if I got a chance to have a rematch with Nabil, I feel like I would have to prepare myself more."

Kulabdam is far from finished

Kulabdam may have had his setbacks in ONE Championship, but that hasn't deterred him from continuing to work hard and evolve as a striker.

He's an accomplished competitor and that's what he was able to remind fans of with his performance at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 10.

Not many fighters could go to war with John Lineker and come through it with their hand raised but that is what separates competitors like Kulabdam from the rest of the pack.

When the going gets tough, he can rise to the occasion.
